Heat and Hot water bill?

im moving out of my moms at the end of the semster, and i need some help running my budget. Im going to be living by myself in upstate newyork and was wondering what i should expect my heat and hot water bills to look like. This is important to know because some places include free heat and hot water, but im not sure how much of a value this is and i want the cheapest place i can get (im in college and short on cash). The apartments vary from 400-650 sqr ft
