Burnt out Occupational and Physical Therapist searching for Greener Pastures....?

We've been per diem therapists for 12 years now and want OUT! Yes, we are both in big need professions and the money is pretty good, but that doesn't change the fact that the job is mentally and physically Draining, and the atmosphere often depressing! This job is good when you're in your 20s, but once you enter the 30s most therapists we know are searching for greener pastures. Yes, I can always be an area manager and run around from building to building in the traffic all day. Or become a Director of Rehab, which I did several years ago, and deal with endless paperwork , meetings and staffing issues, and still have to treat patients! But quality of life and feeling uplifted is what I seek at this stage of the game. I would love to hear from other Therapists who have left the field to do something else!
