Fundraising advise??!!?

My mom has stage four cancer. She can't be cured but they are going to give her chemo and treat it. We have an hour and a half to get to the hospital. With gas prices it's hard to make it. There are fourteen kids in our family. I was wondering how I could go about doing a fundraiser for my mom. Could someone please help.!!!!
