Lg fridge freezer problem?

have LG american style fridge freezer about 3 years old. after the door was not fully shut for a couple of days it froze up all it's vents and the food all melted.Have fully defrosted and all seems to work now but the freezer not getting cold enough to freeze food .anybody got any ideas?? motor runs. evaperator pipes get ice on them, fan runs etc??
