So I am 22 and am contemplating having this test done, to detect for ovarian cancer. My mother ped away from ovarian cancer, and she was diagnosed premenopausal. She was diagnosed at 42 and ped at 44. A few months ago my cousin (also on my mother's side) was diagnosed w/ ovarian cancer. She is only 35 so she is obviously premenopausal. So I think this test would be a good idea. But what happens if I test positive w/ the gene? Do I have to get a hysterectomy? What precautions am I to take?

He needs to understand that you are married - you should have as much to say about how the children get disciplined as he does, especially when the oldest is being a little b*tch of her own. Most of that is her age (15 is the WORST - I know - I raised 2 girls and one boy!) so you do have the 'sweet 16' to look forward to (it really does get better!). As far as the girls your son, etc. I wouldn't have any of that - maybe you should seriously consider a sitter (is your mom available??) at least some of the time. Your husband needs to be made aware that he needs to start showing his girls some attention - they are at the age where they need one-on-one attention and it doesn't sound like they're getting it if they freak out when your son gets some. I think that is the biggest issue from what I can read into your situation. Let him know if he doesn't start paying attention, they're going to find it other places...especially the 15 year old (if she isn't already). If you walk away, then the girls win - that's not what you really want. Stand up, stand firm, and don't let him turn things back to the way they are.

6 days after I got my permit (I'm 15) I was driving with my older sister down some back road (supposedly "a short cut" home) & as I came to a stop at some intersection, I see a boy walking a bike. It was approximately 9:39pm (I don't have my after nines-reason for the short cut) & he walks up to the side of the car as I'm waiting for the light to change & he taps on the window & I crack it a bit. But when I looked up from his bike to his face...my whole body ran cold. His eyes..were just black. My sister noticed it too. She knew something wasn't right, & whispered for me to just go. Very nervous about induction of labour?

I am getting induced this evening and I am absolutely petrified. I think Im more scared off the pain more than anything. This is my second child i went naturally with my 1st and was in slow for 3 days and active labour for 12 hours. I went to 5cm with no pain relief just co-cocodomol cos i was getting treated for uti. I had an epidural which i shouldn't have had because it slowed anything down ended up having a forcep delivery. I am just wondering if when you get induced does the pain come quicker and how long are you in labour for?? Have any of you woman had been induced and what waslike and was it more painful than naturally?

Ok so I have daily regimen, I wash my face with Aveeno Clear Complexion foaming face wash, then I use Neutrogena Triple Action Stress Control Toner, then I finish with Aveeno Calming facial lotion. My face is clear except for those occasional zits that come at the most inconvenient times. But the problem is that even though I do all that twice a day I'll get that zit, it'll go away and it'll leave a little small tan-ish "scar" thing! We HAVE drug dealers living next door to us. One day in Dec. they were busted. The people who live across from the drug dealers became very friendly with them, and “threw us under the bus” by yelling out that we were the ones who called the police. We asked the non drug dealer neighbors to stop coming on to our property. (Their kids would play ball in the street and would have to come get the ball) We asked 3 times for them to stop coming on to the yard. Finally we ended up calling the P.D. and asking them to tell these people to keep off our yard. Fast forward a few months and now our home is being toilet papered and religious notes left on our doorstep. I want to annoy these people the same they have to us. Any suggestions? BTw- the people we want to annoy are the people who live across from the drug dealers. I have thought about loud music, but I don't need them calling the P.D. on us. I gently rubbed one of these baush and Lomb pre-soaked tissues on the objective lens of my Orion 9x63 binoculars to remove a fingerprint and now the coating that is on my objectives appears spotted. image quality is still good. so my question is does the alcohol on the tissues erase the coating on the binoculars. Washing machine wont drain water?

Our washing machine wont drain the water out. We first thought that there were too many clothes in there, so we took all of the clothes out and tried the spin cycle again, but it just doesnt spin fast enough. We opened the top of the washer while it was spinning and it wasnt spinning fast at all. When it stopped spinning all of the water just drained back into the tub part of it. We even got a bucket and took most of the water out that we could and there is about 3 inches of water at the bottom and we tried the spin cycle again, and it still wont spin fast enough to get all of the water out. Ive tried taking the drainage hose out of the hole where the water leaves the machine (not where it leaves the actual machine, but where it goes into the wall so the water can drain out) and nothing was blocking it, I blew into it and I heard bubbles in the water so I dont think anything is blocking it, its just not spinning fast enough. So what should I do? And please answer quickly because we have some clothes that are wet and need to be spun out so we can dry them. Thank you so much for your answers!

Harbor freight sells a lot of tools that are pretty cheap, but keep in mind that you get what you pay for. Having said that, if you are just going to use it for lug nuts, it should do the job but I would recommend a socket for your lug nuts that is impact rated. Impact wrenched are what the tire shops use all day long to remove lug nuts, but don't use it to tighten them, you have no control over the torque and can break the studs easily. Always put them on the old fashioned way, or spend the extra money and buy a "torque stick" rated at the correct torque for your lugs.

I never got a loose perm, but you can accomplish any of those looks by using a one inch curling iron or some curl enhancer in your hair and scrunching it. I did however get perms from 2 years old until 12 years old (my mom used to do hair) and they last for a good year. Surprisingly my hair turned out to be naturally wavyish-curly lol. But uh you can do if you don't want to put that much effort into your hair everyday. If you do it, know that straightening it could be very damaging it and you will have to live with it for a year, which is longer than a cut or color. It takes like 1-2 hrs to do, the one solution itches but smells fine and the other solution smells terrible but doesn't itch. Hope this helps!

My daughter is getting married the end of February. She didn't leave much time for planning and preparing! This is her second marriage, but first "wedding". Dryer not working yet again.. still getting no heat. what could be the problem this time?

One day last week I went to do a load of clothes and my dryer wasn't heating up the clothes... I called an appliance place to come take a look at it... He checked it of and told me that the dryer was fine but on closer inspection the outlet was burned out... like it got shocked.. I get charged a service fee even though he was in my house for all of maybe 5 minutes... in comes an electrician... who replaces the outlet an such and declares it in working order... I go to do a load of laundry since I was told everything was in working order... Well it wasn't...The dryer was still not getting the clothes dry.. So make another call to Appliance place, who tells me that it's probably the power cord.. It needs to be replaced.. So it gets bought and go to put the new one on... it's the wrong cord.. they sold me the wrong cord... they were the ones that handed me the cord.. so I bring it back and get the right one...Figure ok.. now we are back in business.. I can get some clothes dried.. nope still not working.... Call appliance place again... how promptly comes out takes the dryer apart, pulls out the heating element and shows me the damaged coils... yep the heating element was bad... So of course a brand new one was bought and put it... figure this is it.. Now I can finally dry clothes... And I do for 4 loads.. I started my 5th load... and guess what... NO HEAT AGAIN!!!! I'm at my wits end. Unfortunately they are the only appliance repair place around... I don't want to have to pay for another repair place to come out and be even more money.. the dryer isn't very old... maybe 5 years... what else could possibly be wrong with it??? I need my dryer.. I have 6 kids and it need to keep up with laundry... the laundry mat gets to expensive.. been there before, no way to I want to have to lug loads and loads of laundry around to the laundry mat and have to take the kids with on top of that... I don't want to go through that again. can anyone help me figure out what the problem is with my dryer this time???

I was involved in a hit-and-run. please help?

so, today, i was driving my dodge truck to the gas station. its been snowing all day so the roads are fairly bad, but not so slick that its impossible to drive on. anyway, as i was slowly pulling off the main road into the gas station, i got slammed in the rear. i looked over, realizing that i had been hit, and expected the guy who hit me to slow down and stop. nope. he drove away as fast as he could and blew through the stop light at the corner that the gas station was located on too. i wanted to chase him so bad, but there was no way i could have turned around back onto the main road fast enough. so, i called the police, and they took a report on the incident. i described the vehicle as an older red jeep cherokee with tan trim on the bottom. i did not manage to get the license plate or see what the driver looked like. my trucks rear bumper didnt have too much damage to it, it was just a little out of allignment( good thing it was a solid old steel dodge bumper). im just wanting to ask: is there a way to find all the red jeep cherokees in the area without a license or vin number? like, is there a database that would give you the location of all the red models of the jeep that hit my truck? this is just so frustrating. the only thing that makes me want to find the person who did it is the fact that they just took off like that. i mean, what if they seriously injured me? -and just sped away like that. its so aggrivating. please help me out if you can. i live in the vermillion county area of illinois. thanks everyone

Okk so i have natural blonde hair.. and i want it for summer again.?

alright so i have naturally blonde hair but since i was 14 ive been dyeing my hair from auburn to dark brown to black to all sorts of different shades of highlights then to a darrk brown and ive kept it there for a few years.. now, ive let it fade over the winter because i use all the natural amonia free stuff so it fades pretty quick and at the moment its at a light brown. i speed up the process a tad by using regular like .09 peroxide with my shampoo. i like the light brown but i'd love to have it back to its blonde. i have a darker bleach blonde naturally. so i dont think this will be detrimental to my hair in the long run. remember that im doing this gradually and want to be done by summer preferably. please no highlights ive been through that before its wrecked my hair. also i would prefer no bleach... i just would like to know how to get at a lighter bleach blonde natural for me. my eyebrows have always been a dark brown so thats not an issue. thankss

Should I be concerned about my front fork?

Hi! Today I crashed my motorcycle into the rear left fairing of the car at about 10-20 mph leaving a huge dent in the guy's old Lexus. It was a T-bone kind of crash. I can't say it was totally my fault because this guy just decided to turn right in front of me. The bike has lost its mirror. Other than that, there are only few scratches on the fairing and the headlight and no major damages as far as I could notice. I looked at the forks and they didn't seem bent. I rode my bike around neighborhood and didn't notice any unusual vibrations or wobbling. What might be the signs of the bent fork? Should I hope that my fork is ok or should I inspect it more thoroughly?.. Thanks.

Need Vet Advice regarding treatment for my dogs arthritis?

My dog is a 12 ½ year old full size Blue Merle Collie. He more recently has been experiencing bad hip pain; it seems to have gotten worse as the weather has been getting colder. He has already done the 4 cortisone injections and seemed to be doing well until the weather got much colder. I had asked our vet if there is a mild pain reliever we can give him. She prescribed us Dameraxx. We have been doing some research on this drug and considering the side effects are not comfortable giving this to him. I tried speaking to the vet about alternatives, and she had not other real suggestions. I spoke with another vet who told me the first vet prescribed the drug for a reason so we should at least try it. They want us to give him this and then monitor his side effects, by then it will be too late. I would rather look for a more pro active approach. Ideally we were hoping for like a “Motrin or Tylenol Arthritis” but for dogs. Do you have any suggestion are can you offer us any alternatives?

I used to refuse to see her, but then my dad refused to see me so I was forced to see her. But I don't ever get to spend time w/ JUST MY DAD. She tags along EVERY single time. When my dad picked me up from taking the ACT, she tagged along. She always comes along.
